Back in 1982 a group of people from Coral Beach got together to form the Coral Beach Recreation Association for the purpose of organizing fund raising and providing voluntary labour for a tennis court and children's swimming lessons.

In 1992 the group expanded to take in all of the Carr's Landing fire protection area and become a registered association.

Further expansion was done in 2002 to take in everyone in the Carr's Landing ward and people along the south end of Carr's Landing road.
